Background
Charles has been legally qualified since 1978 and was a partner in commercial law firms between 1980 and 2007. In 1991 he joined Edge Ellison and up until 2007 was a partner in the Commercial Dispute Resolution department of Squire Sanders (UK) LLP, formerly known as Hammonds. Charles led the Hammonds Mediation initiative to promote ADR throughout the firm’s offices in Europe and to its clients, the firm having won the prestigious CEDR award for excellence in ADR three times running.
Charles is a Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, accredited by CEDR, a Member of the Civil Mediation Council and In Place of Strife the Mediation Chambers.
